Thanks to support from Google's CS4HS initiative, experienced Scalable Game Design teachers will learn how to engage and motivate students even more through intermediate and advanced Scalable Game Design activities. Going beyond coding and instructional games, teachers will explore build-your-own games and simulations, innovative and novel methods of teaching, ways to nurture student leadership in the classroom, and improve the computational thinking and problem solving and procedural abilities of all students. Pre-requisite to attend this free professional development training is at least one prior school year of research data collection participation with Scalable Game Design using AgentCubes Online.

Thanks to support from Google's CS4HS initiative, 15 Wyoming middle school and high school teachers will begin building a community of student learners to move toward taking and completing the new Advanced Placement Computer Science Principles course. Teachers will learn how to engage and motivate students through Scalable Game Design activities, and going beyond coding into computational thinking. Middle school teachers will work with their feeder high school teachers to nurture and encourage students to stay involved with computer science and programming, and support students to succeed when the AP CSP course is made available. The Wyoming teachers will part of a Scalable Game Design CS4HS professional Community of Practice that extends into Colorado and New Mexico.
