Dear SGD Summer Institute Participants:
The 9th Scalable Game Design Summer Institute will be held at the University of Colorado Boulder, Kittrege Central building, June 6 to 10, 2016, 8:00/8:30 - 5:00 daily. Please read below for a summary of important last minute reminders and helpful tips for your arrival on campus. When information is updated, you will receive an email notifying you to visit this page again.
Parking Permit:
For those who requested campus parking permits on their application and registration, permits will be provided and distributed on the first morning of their session. Permits are REQUIRED to park in the designated lot all times, and the Institute is not responsible for any violations due to not displaying the correct permit.
- Parking permits will be distributed at the entrance to Centers 4 Community underground parking garage located NorthWest of Regent Drive and Kittredge Loop Drive:

- Park on Level 1. You should exit the stairs on the northeast corner of Level 1 in the garage.

Walking from Parking Garage to Kittredge Central Meeting Rooms:
Park on Level 1. You will exit the parking garage via the stairs in the NE corner of the garage. Exit the Street Level. Look away from the C4C building and you will see a pedestrian underpass and the planetarium. Walk toward the planetarium, past it, past the next building and left into the courtyard. There will be signs along the way. Meetings will be held at the Kittredge Central building SOUTH entrance, 2480 Kittredge Loop Drive.
Check-In:
You will receive your name badge, program schedule, forms, workshop binders, when you check-in with the Summer Institute registration desk located at Kittredge Central building SOUTH entrance, 2480 Kittredge Loop Drive. See campus map here: MAP.
Upon receiving your packet, you will go through the Arrival Day Check-List that all Scholars must complete.

Graduate Credits
- You can purchase University of Colorado Boulder Graduate Credits for completing this training.
- Computer Science Special Topics graduate course will earn you 3 credits.
- Credit Forms will be available upon check-in and payment via check or credit card along with the form can be given to Yasko.
- Credits are ESTIMATED $70/credit, a HUGE discount from regular school year courses!
Summer Institute Highlights
- Tuesday, June 6............Beginner 3D Game Design session opens (first session STARTS 8:30 am) but we need you in the building to check in by 8:00 am.
- Wednesday, June 7...........Int/Adv 3D Game Design session opens (first session STARTS 8:30 am) but we need you in the building to check in by 8:00 am.
- Wednesday, June 7, 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm. All Scholar networking & collaboration dinner, included in your registration.
Workshops run 8:30 am to 5:00 pm each day.
Conference Lodging
Best Western Boulder Inn is within walking distance to the meeting venue and is offering conference discounts for the Beginner level attendees.
Beginner and Intermediate/Advanced attendees seeking lower-cost lodging can stay at the Kittredge Central dorms. To reserve, contact Yasko Endo.
